So, President Obama visited Racine this summer and I have to say it was a pretty impressive experience. He happened to drive by my church on his way in and out of town. On his way into town, it was like a parade outside of church. The streets were lined with people, many of them kids that I know through our neighborhood outreach program, and they were all so excited to get to see the President! The motorcade itself was also pretty cool. It started with a huge group of motorcyle cops followed by many other armored vehicles and the two presidential limos and more armored vehicles. Unfortunatly, they just whizzed on by, so it was a lot of waiting for a quick wave. Still, I would do it again.
